The Challenge

Patients who pursue fertility treatment are often in a delicate emotional state – they are intensely focused on their goal of adding to a family and often turn to the clinics as a “last resort.” They are unlikely to want to discuss their journey publicly on social media – but they do turn to platforms as a support resource and for helpful information.

Our Solution

Working with our client NCFMC, KDMC helps organized an online contest to give away a free IVF cycle. The contest begins on April 1st and runs through the last weekend of National Infertility Awareness Week. The contest receives up to 800 entries in some years and it has helped gain PR exposure in the market as well as built the practice’s reputation and audience. In addition to the contest, KDMC runs a proactive digital marketing program for NCFMC that includes Google Ads, content creation, social media and online review management with the goal to increase the number of patients in the local area. To maximize exposure on search engines and increase local bookings, a strategic online ad strategy was utilized. Paid search campaigns were built utilizing location extensions to show ads in the local map pack. Location based keywords were also heavily targeted & ad copy was crafted to include the city in the headline; this technique has been shown to increase the click through rate of local users, as it resonates well with someone look for a local service. We also were strategic with location targeting because when it comes to local, the closer a user is that is making a relevant search, the higher likelihood that they will click on the ad & connect.

The Result

The practice has grown tremendously the past five years and continues strong performance in 2020, despite the COVID-19 pandemic. According to practice management, revenue has increased at NCFMC more than 40 percent since KDMC began digital marketing services in 2014.

Our website has undergone multiple renditions over the last 23 years.
