Ah, ethics. It’s a word that most of us in PR and marketing like to avoid in conversations, mostly because it’s a sticky topic. However, it’s easy to make an ‘ethical slip’ or lapse of judgement. Maybe you’re in a hurry. Maybe you don’t know any better. Whatever the case, it’s important you know the law. Stealing is stealing – whether it’s online or offline.
But how do you know what’s ethical and what’s not – especially when it comes to images? Sites like Tumblr and Pinterest only make it MORE confusing. And plenty of people are stealing images – so you won’t get noticed, right? Wrong.
