You sit down at your desk to start writing at the beginning of the day. You know that you need to hit your content quota to feed into the Google search machine. Placing your fingers on the keyboard, you search inside yourself to find what to write about, but nothing comes. Your thoughts race as you dig deeper and deeper, looking for that creative spark, but you find an encompassing blank. It’s going to be one of those days.
But, it doesn’t have to be. There are ways to find that creative spark when it seems like there’s nothing to write about. Nancy Young, a PR manager at UKAD Group has a few good suggestions.
Write About Trending Issues in Your Niche
One way to find inspiration is to talk about what’s captured the attention of your niche. With tools like Google Alerts and Keyhole, you can discover what thought leaders in your tribe are talking about. Once you know that, you can write your take, agreeing or disagreeing.
Answer Questions from Your Audience
When nothing is coming to you, go to sights like Yahoo Answers or popular hangouts for your audience and find out what’s bugging them. Once you’ve found that, write up a post that gives an in-depth answer to their problem. If one person is facing a problem in your niche, then others likely are as well.
