Let’s face facts. For many people on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, (including myself) and other online mediums of communication, it can be difficult to get your voice and opinion widespread attention. Unless you’re a public figure, influencer, or have made a career as an online personality, the chances of your Tweet or Facebook post (however engaging and compelling as it may be to your immediate, albeit generally small audience) catching steam and gaining a massive audience is fairly small. But that doesn’t mean you can’t or shouldn’t try to get your content seen and shared by key influencers.
Jon Salm, a content contributor for Visual.ly, recently wrote a quick five-step guide on how to get influencers to see and share your content. Salm provides some sound advice, like don’t expect a social media miracle, be creative, and keep your content short and to-the-point.
