In addition to the Facebook-owned Instagram, Facebook itself is taking a page out of the Snapchat book and beginning the rollout of Facebook Stories in select countries this week.
Just like Snapchat, Facebook Stories are “user-generated photo and video collections that can be viewed up to two times and disappear after 24 hours.”
Facebook has had this feature in the works for some time, but the actual user-testing of the feature is now in effect.
It will certainly be interesting to see how Snap Inc. reacts to Facebook cloning a core feature of their product.
